Didn’t we mention that? We’re taking the year off from Nerd Prom, mainly because we ain’t got nothing new and as much as we’ve heard how fab Glee is, we’re just not ready to commit to going to a Glee-centric panel.

Fun times down at the Scottish Rite Center this past Sunday. Had the pleasure of sitting next to indie comics’ youngest curmudgeon Chris Wisnia, sold some prints and some books, walked around and chatted up a few friends and made a few more. Bought some merch from Oopis Nein, Funday Morning, and Asbestos Press. Looking forward to next year!

I’ve got a table at the upcoming Indy Euphoria show on June 27 at the Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento. Guests include Johnny Ryan, Steve Weissman, Jordan Crane, Skinner, Sparkplug Comics, Rafael Navarro, and Chris Wisnia, who’s also performing with Weird Harold. Yeah, I’m a mark for Apple. And although I’ve yet to find any practical application for my fancy new iPad, there is one glaring reason why I’m happy I early-adopted.

Comics look amazing on the thing, I’ve downloaded a bunch already through the Panelfly app (where you can find the Lost in the Dark mini-series Video), and Comixology, which currently hosts my personal favorite comic on the stands today, The Walking Dead.

Packing for Hawaii. In my carry-on, I has Biomega, Asterios Polyp and Essex County: The Country Nurse, all making my bag three books heavier than it’ll HOPEFULLY be x years from now when we all live in an iPad world where every comic I needed was on iTunes.
